Aubree's Fun Times with Austin

Aubree's Uncle Kyle, Aunt Steph and youngest Cousin Austin came to Indiana for a week, so she got a LOT of playtime with someone similar in size! Enjoy a few pics from their stay:
We pulled the tent back out from the basement for Austin to play with while he was here, but I think Aubree must have missed it too. She plays with it daily now!
You can't see the twins, but here are all of the grand kids as Santa and Mrs.Claus arrive Here are some of the family photos from the day: Kyle, Steph and Austin Ryun, Brandy, Kelton and RylynMy Family My parentsThe Grand kids: Isn't Aubree's face just priceless?? :-) MY CRAZY FAMILY My Normal Family This photo completely brought back NIGHTMARES of when I was a child! They used to do the same thing to me until my sides would bleed! Such torture my poor daughter will have to endure...I really DO feel sorry for her!Ahh...yes. Papaw is definitely good for something! Here are the four gorgeous kiddos enjoying CHOCOLATE ice cream shortly before bedtime. Aubree must miss her old car seat. I thought she was being "strangely" quite, so I went to see what she was in to. Yep...she found Austin's car seat to be a new toy. So we have pictures of Aubree with her twin cousins taking a bath together (for future bribery!) Now we have her and Austin together. Oh the torture to come! Isn't their hair hilarious in this one?? :-) A shot of Austin's Cookie Monster cakes. The one on the right is his HUGE smash cake, which I'd say her enjoyed very much. You can see for yourself in the next picture! Well, I have a TON more photos, but I've been working on this blog for way too long already. It's definitely always a good time when you get family together.

50's Girl

After debating back and forth about whether Aubree should go out Trick or Treating after her rough week with the H1N1 flu...we decided to take her out for a short bit.

Before going out we headed up to Orscheln's for a costume contest.  There were only 6-7 contestants, but Aubree was one of two who actually placed!  There was originally only a 1st place winner, and from the different costumes there, it was OBVIOUS who would win.  There was a little boy there with a handmade/homemade costume of the Statue of Liberty.  He looked Awesome.  I'll post a picture and you can sort of get an idea, but I didn't get a full front on shot of him.  Anyhoo...he got 1st and Aubree got Runner Up. They must have liked her because they hadn't planned on giving anything out except for 1st place, but she ended up getting a black pony named Bella as her prize.  Everyone got a snickers bar (which mommy enjoyed later) and a box of stickers for participating.

Then it was on to Trick or Treating with Rylyn (Foofa) and Kelton (Plex).  Aubree didn't have a problem going up to the people's basket of goodies and grabbing as she pleased.  There was even one house where she would grab one out, change her mind, throw it back in an grab another.  The lady said..."That's a true girl..can't make up her mind!"  :-)

Here are a few cute pictures from the afternoon:

Their first house!

Aubree was determined someone was going to come and open this door to give her "more"....but nope, no one home here!

This is the house where Aubree couldn't make up her mind what candy she wanted.

Here she is going back to get something different.

Here's the 3 Amigos:

Here's one of the shots I took of Aubree since we weren't able to make it down to the Witches Walk last night to get it done professionally.

Fall Photoshoot-- Sorry PICTURE heavy!

Since yesterday was a BEAUTIFUL day, Ben and I set up the straw-bails and pumpkins down around the woods to do a Fall photo shoot of Aubree!  She wasn't in the best mood (tired), so we only got a few of her giving us her gorgeous smile.  I've been playing around with my photo shop program again and want some opinions of which you like the best.  So, after you look at the photos, take the survey on the right hand side of the page.  Oh, if you are looking at this through your email, you won't see the survey.  You'll actually have to click on the link and go to her blog.  THANKS!!

The first 4 are the 4 I want you to vote on.  I'll number them so you know!  Then there's a bunch that are only 3-4 different pictures, but once again, I was playing with my program, so I can't decide which I like best.  Just thought I'd post them all!!  :)

1st Pumpkin Carving

After picking out our pumpkins yesterday at the pumpkin patch...the obvious next step is to CARVE!!

Some of Aubree's favorite things right now are Mickey, Minnie, Dogs and Elmo.  When we finished up at the pumpkin patch yesterday, we stopped by Sam's to pick a few things up before heading home.  Ben found 5 foot tall stuffed Mickey's and Minnie's.  While I was looking at winter pj's for Aubree (with Aubree in my arms), all of a sudden she flipped out and tried to jump out of my arms.  Little did I know that Ben had come up behind me with one of the 5 foot tall Minnnie's.  Aubree couldn't get down fast enough and RAN to see her yelling "Minnie, Minnie, Minnie".  She giggled like no other, flew her self on to Minnie and didn't know how to control herself.  This child hasn't been this excited about ANYTHING like this before.  I really wished I had my video camera, but of course I didn't, so I try to explain as best as possible so you can get a hint of how happy she was when she saw that Minnie Mouse.  I was really disappointed that Ben didn't get it for her, but then again...$80 for a stuffed toy??

Ok, so back to Carving...obviously after how crazy she went over Minnie yesterday, I had to find a Minnie Mouse pumpkin stencil.  It's amazing what you can find online for free rather than buying them!  I've added a few pictures from her 1st carving.

Daddy letting Aubree get a feel for what she was about to get in to

She tried out the scoop, but I think she thought it was a spoon:  See next picture

Yummy!

Yeah, much easier to just use you hands.

She was even a good girl and put the goo in to the bucket!!

After such a LONG hard job of carving out a pumpkin, Aubree thought she needed to soak her feet with DeeDee.  Such a girly girl!

And...the final product:  Minnie Mouse
