Some of Aubree's favorite things right now are Mickey, Minnie, Dogs and Elmo. When we finished up at the pumpkin patch yesterday, we stopped by Sam's to pick a few things up before heading home. Ben found 5 foot tall stuffed Mickey's and Minnie's. While I was looking at winter pj's for Aubree (with Aubree in my arms), all of a sudden she flipped out and tried to jump out of my arms. Little did I know that Ben had come up behind me with one of the 5 foot tall Minnnie's. Aubree couldn't get down fast enough and RAN to see her yelling "Minnie, Minnie, Minnie". She giggled like no other, flew her self on to Minnie and didn't know how to control herself. This child hasn't been this excited about ANYTHING like this before. I really wished I had my video camera, but of course I didn't, so I try to explain as best as possible so you can get a hint of how happy she was when she saw that Minnie Mouse. I was really disappointed that Ben didn't get it for her, but then again...$80 for a stuffed toy??
Ok, so back to Carving...obviously after how crazy she went over Minnie yesterday, I had to find a Minnie Mouse pumpkin stencil. It's amazing what you can find online for free rather than buying them! I've added a few pictures from her 1st carving.
Daddy letting Aubree get a feel for what she was about to get in to
She tried out the scoop, but I think she thought it was a spoon: See next picture
Yummy!
Yeah, much easier to just use you hands.
She was even a good girl and put the goo in to the bucket!!
After such a LONG hard job of carving out a pumpkin, Aubree thought she needed to soak her feet with DeeDee. Such a girly girl!
And...the final product: Minnie Mouse
