50's Girl

After debating back and forth about whether Aubree should go out Trick or Treating after her rough week with the H1N1 flu...we decided to take her out for a short bit.

Before going out we headed up to Orscheln's for a costume contest.  There were only 6-7 contestants, but Aubree was one of two who actually placed!  There was originally only a 1st place winner, and from the different costumes there, it was OBVIOUS who would win.  There was a little boy there with a handmade/homemade costume of the Statue of Liberty.  He looked Awesome.  I'll post a picture and you can sort of get an idea, but I didn't get a full front on shot of him.  Anyhoo...he got 1st and Aubree got Runner Up. They must have liked her because they hadn't planned on giving anything out except for 1st place, but she ended up getting a black pony named Bella as her prize.  Everyone got a snickers bar (which mommy enjoyed later) and a box of stickers for participating.

Then it was on to Trick or Treating with Rylyn (Foofa) and Kelton (Plex).  Aubree didn't have a problem going up to the people's basket of goodies and grabbing as she pleased.  There was even one house where she would grab one out, change her mind, throw it back in an grab another.  The lady said..."That's a true girl..can't make up her mind!"  :-)

Here are a few cute pictures from the afternoon:

Their first house!

Aubree was determined someone was going to come and open this door to give her "more"....but nope, no one home here!

This is the house where Aubree couldn't make up her mind what candy she wanted.

Here she is going back to get something different.

Here's the 3 Amigos:

Here's one of the shots I took of Aubree since we weren't able to make it down to the Witches Walk last night to get it done professionally.

Aubree in one of her Halloween outfits.  This shirt came from her California family!
