More Pictures of Aubree and Her Boyfriends

A cute picture of all our kids (except for Emalyn) from the group of us who hung out in college together.Aubree and Ayden going back and forth between who got to be on the scooter
When they were both looking out the door, I had to sneak out and get a shot from the other side just to seet their cute faces!
Aubree and Caleb swimming in their float boats

Caught...

I guess the PJ's I picked out for Aubree must be a little too big for her. What do you think?? :-)

Our Trip to Meskar Park Zoo

Aubree had her first experience at the zoo today, along with her Mommy, Uncle RyRy, Aunt Brandy, Kelton, Rylyn and Mamaw Deedee. I'd have to say I really don't think much of the Evansville Zoo after making many trips to the Indy Zoo when I taught up in Indy, but I guess it's better than nothing. Here are a couple pictures from the day. If you'd like to see more, click the link below. I tried to add captions in so you'd have some idea of what's going on in the photos. Enjoy our trip to the Zoo! :-) I do believe the kiddos did!

What is Papaw Teaching Her??

I know I've said it before that she's our little monkey...but GEEZ!
Ok, well, not seriously. Papaw "posed" her up there! Although, I don't doubt that she couldn't have got up there by herself.

Aubree's 1 Year Dr. Appointment

Aubree and I went to Owensboro today for her 1 year check up. She weighed in at 17.12 pounds and is 29 inches long. That puts her in the 6th Percentile for weight and 48th Percentile for height! The doctor called her "lean"...I call her a "runt" :) She will continue to be our soy baby as I tried to transition her to whole milk and it didn't go so well. The first time I tried, she cried out all night as if she was in pain...very gassy. So, I held off and tried again later. Same thing...and it constipated her for 3 days, so NO WHOLE MILK! She's definitely still lactose intolerant and will hopefully grow out of it in the next few months. The dr. said most babies usually grow out of it by 1, but Aubree tends to do things a little slowly, so we'll see how long it takes her.
She also had to get 4 shots and she took them like a pro. She didn't even flinch for the first two shots, but the 3rd one must have stung because she let out a yelp like no other. She cried for a whole 10 seconds and then was over it. That's always the toughest part about taking her to these "well-baby" checks, but I guess that's a part of life and I'm certain there'll be many times when I will be there to comfort her when she's in pain. I just hate hearing her cry when I know it's "real". Below are a few photos from her actual Birthday Day and from her cousin Alivia's B-day Party:
Aubree and the twins playing after Cake and Ice cream

I think Kelton enjoyed the cake WAY more than Aubree!

Aubree and her messy face, not giving the spoon back.

Have I Mentioned...

I don't know if I've mentioned it or not, but the saying around here is that Aubree has a little "monkey" in her. She climbs EVERYTHING in sight! Here's proof! Aubree climbing to get up on to the deskAubree climbing to stand in her rocker...I don't think she gets the concept of a rocker yet. This is my favorite... Good thing the door was locked and no burners were on!! And lastly, Aubree trying to climb on to the toy box.

Yay!!! GOOD NEWS!

On our way home from my Meemaw's funeral, I didn't think much could be said that would make me smile, but then a phone call came in from my mother-in-law. My brother-in-law, Jason, was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma this past December. A super rare cancer that normally occurs in children, so basically it blindsided everyone! He has been in New York for 6 months getting the best of care, and today we received the good news that he is "Cancer FREE"! YAY....so I was wrong. Those words definitley made me, as well as everyone in our car smile. Can't wait to get you guys back home where you belong! We miss you!! It's been too long since Aubree has got to see her Aunt and Uncle Napier!

Aubree 1st Swim

I honestly didn't think I would be able to convince Aubree to get into the pool after her 1st experience the other day when I just "attempted" to put her feet in the pool. She wanted NOTHING to do with it and dug in to me with her nails telling me to get her AWAY from that big 'ol pool. Well, today was a different story. I put her feet in and she didn't freak out. So, I splashed around with my hands and I guess she thought that looked like fun and decided to try it out as well. From there it was all good. I've uploaded a slideshow of a few pictures with a video in the middle. Just listen to how excited she is in the video...too cute!

We'll Miss You Meemaw Birdie

For most of you who follow Aubree's blog, you have probably already heard about her Great Meemaw Birdie passing away today, just 3 months shy of turning 102. Meemaw hasn't been feeling well for awhile now, but you'd never have known it by looking at her because she wasn't one for complaining. Bobby (my cousin) was with her this morning when the nursing home called her to let her know Meemaws vitals weren't looking good. She called dad to let him know so he could get there as soon as possible. Unfortunately Meemaw couldn't hold on long enough, as he just missed telling her goodbye by 15 minutes. We miss and love you Meemaw. I know you're in a better place now without the pain and you can finally reunite with your husband after many many years apart. Please say hello to Uncle Bruce, Mark and Peepaw Minnis for us as we miss them as much as we'll miss you. Aubree will definitely miss out on getting to know what a wonderful grandmother you have always been to each and every one of us. She will definitely hear many great stories about you!

Aubree's New Game

So, Aubree hasn't taken a pacifier since she was about 4 months old, but for the last couple of months we've been trying to get her to at least "chew" on one instead of grinding her teeth which absolutely drives me NUTS! She now officially will chew on one, and she really likes me taking it out of her mouth. Enjoy the video:

Aubree's Cousin Austin Visits Indiana

So, I have a daredevil daughter who LOVES riding the roller coaster all by herself, but it looks as though she may have some competition! Look at him hold on to her....isn't it sweet! But then Aubree thought he must have been a treat...(She was really trying to kiss him), but it looks as though she's about to take a bite out of his hat! The next picture of Aubree and Austin's feet crack me up! She will be 12 months old on the 15th, and he will be 6 months old on the 12th....
Notice a size difference in their feet??? I don't! My poor daughter has TINY feet. She just recently got into a size 1, and I know most kiddos her age are at least in to a 3 if not a 4 or 5! She has her daddy's feet, that's for sure.

Austin got to meet his Great Meemaw Birdie...who is 3 1/2 months shy of 102 years old. Ben, Aubree and I will be making a trip to see her soon. She's not been feeling well lately and had been put in the hospital due to stomach problems. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers for us!

We then made a trip up to see his and Aubree's Great Meemaw Mickey. What a LONG trip for two little one's under the age of 1.
It was GREAT having Kyle, Steph and Austin here for the week. I wish they were closer, but the reality is they aren't...so we try and make the best of every chance we get to be together. I miss you guys!

Aubree's 1st Birthday Party

Aubree's 1st Birthday Party:
So, with expecting a 70% chance of T-Storms during her party...and then only have a few sprinkles here and there, I was definitely a happy camper with the way the day went.
Aubree did SO well...she was such a good girl all day. She got so many gifts, visited with lots of friends and family, ate her b-day cake, and sat through a LOT of pictures!
I've uploaded a hilarious video of her eating her cake...keep watching, it gets better.
Instead of uploading too many pictures in here, I've just inlcuded a few of my favorite and a link to more. Don't worry...I've spared you a painful view of the 600 some photos that were taken today, and limited it down to under 100. :-)

**AUBREE'S BIRTHDAY PHOTOS**

Thank you to everyone who took part in my baby girl's 1st B-day. Everything was PERFECT! :-)

Big Girl Seat...

Deedee and Papaw's gift to Aubree arrived today, so I put it together to see how she would react to it when she woke up from her nap. She LOVES her big girl seat. She would go back and forth betweent patting the arm rest, playing in the cup holder, playing Patty Cake and waving and saying "bye bye". She was so excited...It was too cute!

No Pictures...Just a Funny!

Tonight at dinner, Aubree ate before all of us, so she was just sitting in her highchair playing while we ate. During our dinner, I mentioned that Aubree still hadn't done her deed today, and was hoping she would before going to bed tonight. Well, what do you know?!? She decided to do it while we were eating. You could tell because she would sit straight up in her highchair and start turning beat red, as a lot of babies do when trying to go. It had all 4 of us laughing our heads off and she would just stare at us trying to figure out what we were laughing at so hard. When we finally calmed down enough and asked her if she was doing a poopy...she looked at all of us and said.... Scroll down to see her response to if she was doing a poopy... "Uh Oh" :-) I REALLY wished we would have had it on video...I think it would have won me the money on America's Funniest Videos!

Aubree As A Boy

Aubree tends to have about 1 accident a week at daycare where they have to change her outfit, and this time...we were out of her clothes! So, she got to go around looking like a little boy all day dressed in one of Kelton's outfits that he has outgrown. Even one of the assistants asked who the new boy was! She was backwards to her, so I'd probably even ask the same thing. I personally think she has always looked like Kelton, but in his clothes...she's definitely a little Keltie!

Aubree's 1st Roller Coaster Ride

So the twins have been riding the roller coaster like it's nothing, but I didn't figure Aubree was really ready to try it on her own. Guess I was wrong...

She held on like a real big girl and rode it over and over again! I'm so proud of her, she continues to amaze me every day as she learns more and more.

My LAZY Daughter

I've been working a LOT lately with trying to get Aubree to not be so dependent on me or someone elsewhen it comes to feeding her or taking her bottle. My child REALLY just doesn't get it when it comes to putting things "in" her mouth. Here's a hilarious video to prove it...and it only gets better towards the end!

Cookout With Friends & Family

On Saturday, a few of our good friends and their kids came down for a cookout. Ryun, Brandy and the twins joined us as well, so Mamaw and Papaw had a house full! I don't think they minded though, the play area that Papaw set up definitely got used a lot! The kids absolutely LOVED a kids "rollercoaster" that my aunt handed down to us. Aubree got to play in the sandbox for the first time, and she finally started liking the infant swing today as well. Usually when we put her in it, she starts screaming and wants out immediately. Now, she's all smiles! After dinner, the kids played for another hour or so outside before moving the party inside. I don't think the kids could have come to a better place for a WIDE variety of toys to play around with. I swear it's like all of the toys for Aubree and the twins have taken over the livingroom. So, nothing really fun and exciting to tell, just that we have a great time with everyone and I've posted a slideshow with pictures from the evening.

86 Degrees in April Today

Just a few sweet pictures of our baby girl. Unfortunately I didn't get the huge smiles she gives all day, but the seriousness look is just as adorable sometimes. Enjoy!

Patty-Cake

Aubree started doing Patty Cake about a week ago and now "loves" to clap. I caught a short video of her doing it, but when she heard me singing the song to go along with her clapping, she quit. It use to be that I could make popping sounds with my mouth and she would just light up allowing me to get great photos of her beautiful smile, but now....as soon as she hears the words to Patty Cake...she stops what she's doing and gives the biggest smiles ever. She continues to amaze me day after day. She also started waving in the last week or so. Half the time when she's waving she also sounds like she's say "hiiiiiii" in a real kentucky twang. I'll have try and catch that on video next.
