Aubree's 1 Year Dr. Appointment

Aubree and I went to Owensboro today for her 1 year check up. She weighed in at 17.12 pounds and is 29 inches long. That puts her in the 6th Percentile for weight and 48th Percentile for height! The doctor called her "lean"...I call her a "runt" :) She will continue to be our soy baby as I tried to transition her to whole milk and it didn't go so well. The first time I tried, she cried out all night as if she was in pain...very gassy. So, I held off and tried again later. Same thing...and it constipated her for 3 days, so NO WHOLE MILK! She's definitely still lactose intolerant and will hopefully grow out of it in the next few months. The dr. said most babies usually grow out of it by 1, but Aubree tends to do things a little slowly, so we'll see how long it takes her.
She also had to get 4 shots and she took them like a pro. She didn't even flinch for the first two shots, but the 3rd one must have stung because she let out a yelp like no other. She cried for a whole 10 seconds and then was over it. That's always the toughest part about taking her to these "well-baby" checks, but I guess that's a part of life and I'm certain there'll be many times when I will be there to comfort her when she's in pain. I just hate hearing her cry when I know it's "real". Below are a few photos from her actual Birthday Day and from her cousin Alivia's B-day Party:

I think Kelton enjoyed the cake WAY more than Aubree!
