Yummy!

So, I'm all in to making cakes now after making Aubree's 1st birthday ladybug cake...and I jumped right in and volunteered when I found out the twins were having a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse birthday party. I started the process tonight, and I do believe Aubree was excited that she got an early dose of what the cakes will taste like on Saturday night. See for yourself!

We Have a 15 Month Old? How's That POSSIBLE??

WARNING.....WARNING: THIS POST IS LONG AND CONTAINS A LOT OF INTERESTING DETAILS OF OUR DAUGHTER'S LIFE. PLEASE ENJOY!
Yep...our baby girl is growing up. (sniff sniff) Aubree seems to be doing more and more everyday! She's walking, talking, climbing, being mischievous, flirts...you name it...she's doing it! I just mentioned to Ben the other day that I needed to work a lot more with her on naming more obvious things like her nose, mouth, eyes or colors too. Mom had her at the doctor yesterday and had something blue, and Aubree kept repeating over and over "boo". So, I tested it out when we were home. I handed her a blue magnet and mom gave her a blue lid...and sure enough "Boo"! :) I swear she's a little sponge! My favorite (and I know I'll regret it later) is when I see her grunting or straining, I ask her if she just pooped. She looks straight up at me and says..."poo poo" or "poop". It cracks me up, but like I said, I'm certain I'll regret it later! We went to visit Grammy and PopPop this past weekend in Marion. They kept Aubree overnight on Saturday while Ben and I went out and celebrated our 2nd Anniversary in downtown Indy. Then Sunday they brought Aubree down to Indy so we could visit with Aubree's Uncle Jason, Aunt Alissa and Cousin Nic. Jason and Alissa haven't been able to see Aubree for over a year, so I'm glad we got to spend some quality time with them! Aubree really took to Jason right off! She would ride around with him in his wheelchair and he even showed her how to maneuver it. Her being our little "tech-y" girl learned fairly quickly how make it go, turn it off and on and how to honk the horn. She was having a ball.
Below are a few pictures from the visit. First is of Jason, Alissa and Nic all with Aubree...Jason couldn't quit kissing her! It was too cute!! The next one is of Steve and Linda's two grand babies together. Then there's Jason and Aubree together doing what she loved to do while visiting. I wasn't sure if she'd be nervous about his wheelchair or not, but it didn't bother her one bit. The last photo is of Aubree modeling the new fall/winter coat and hat that Grammy got her. She looks like a little Russian girl here! :)
So, at 15 months...here's an update of Aubree's accomplishments: -Walking all on her own, but cannon stand up from a sitting position w/o having something to pull up with -Climbing anything and everything in sight -Micmics almost any word we say to her -Eats EVERYTHING in sight! All I hear all day is "bite" -Has started picking up on a few of the signs that I do with her daily -Had eartubes put in at 14 months -Weighs 19.2 lbs (5th %tile) -Is 30 3/4 inches tall (60th %tile) -Still a soy baby, but I'm going to see about switching her back to whole milk to see if she can handle it yet. -Has become a biter at daycare to the same little boy. She's only bit twice so far, but the fact that it's the same kid kinda bothers me! -Loves to dance!!!! -Makes the biggest mouth possible when "dancing", "eating", "clapping", or "pounding" on anything! Here are a couple of the pictures I took today to document Aubree's 15th month. Enjoy! :)
Doesn't she look like she's laying down modeling here??She was looking up at Papaw...he was helping me entertain her while shooting.
Lastly...I could have put a video of her waking on here, but I had a few shots in a row of her walking, so I made them into a time lapse video. She's finally learned she can pretty much go anywhere now that she can walk.
I can't say it enough, she's just TOO cute! We love her to death and couldn't imagine our lifes without her! She may try to test us at times, but I know she's just learning her limits. Happy 15 months Aubree! WE LOVE YOU!!

My BIG Mouth Girl

Hope you're ready for a good laugh because that's what the following video will make you do. You couldn't possibly look at this child and NOT laugh after seeing her face. I'm not quite sure "why" she has to hold her mouth in such a way, but it makes for some funny videos...so why not! :-) I really tried to upload two other videos, but I waited over an hour and one of them hadn't uploaded, so you didn't get either! Sorry. :)

Rylyn Not Wanting Aubree on the Coaster Anymore...

Our Hot Mama's in Aubree's new sunglasses
I let Aubree play on the piano the other day and she had a BALL! Then a little later I saw a picture that someone had taken of their baby with a tutu on playing the piano, so of course I had to try it out! What do you think??

My First "REAL" Scare

So, I'm use to Aubree climbing on EVERYTHING as I have posted in previous posts. So, as we were telling daddy "nite nite" on the phone, her climbing out of my lap to climb over to the other side of the couch was really no big deal. EXCEPT...I wasn't thinking about the big pile of pillows on one area of the couch that I picked up earlier to sweep the floor. Obviously it was too much for her because it knocked her off balance, and she fell right onto the corner of the coffee table. I hung up on Ben to see what she hit/hurt, no blood in her mouth, no bumps on her forehead...I thought she was fine, maybe just scared her a bit. I sat her on the bar to play with her boo boo kitty cold pack, and that's when I got sick to my stomach as I saw blood running down her ear. OMG!! I can't stand blood, so this is the 1st time I've really freaked out over Aubree getting hurt. I can stand bumps, bruises, scrapes, etc...but BLOOD?? Just makes me sick to my stomach! Of course, she cried for about 15 seconds and was good to go...Me, on the other hand, still freaking out. I didn't know if she just scraped it or if it went through to the other side. My debate was on taking her up to the hospital to get stitches...that's how bad I thought it looked. No one else was here...so that all I could think of. Then, dad came back in the house instead of taking the trash up to the carlot, so I felt a little bit better now that someone else saw it and convinced me it looked ok. We put some blood stop on it a couple of times and I put a band-aid on it to make sure she doesn't knock it back open while she's sleeping tonight. So...here's her boo boo

Last Few Days

Here are a few pictures of Aubree over the past week. We both start back on Tuesday...me to work and Aubree to Daycare. I think I may shed a few tears because I have had soooooo much fun spending every day with her this summer. I do have to say I LOVE my job as a teacher to be able to have the summers off...that's for sure!
One of Aubree's new things to climb on while mommy's fixing her hair.
Aubree may just learn to be a great poker player like her mommy did when she was 4 years old!
Here's my sick girl a day before she got her ear tubes. She did this for a week straight. She had a fever and no other "real" symptoms other than being tired and not wanting to eat. I took her to the doctor because mom thought she might have another ear infection or a sore throat. The Dr. said she is perfectly healthy! I came home to look up what there could possibly be with symptoms of a fever and nothing else. I found that Roseola has that symptom, and then 3-5 days after having a fever...red dots appear over the trunk of the body. Well, guess what...ROSEOLA it is! Guess I should be a doctor huh?? :-) After 4 days of fever, she then broke out all over her back, chest, and face. YUCK!
Mom took a picture of me and Aubree before we went out to eat for her Aunt Brandy's 34th B-day! Mom really needed to sing the Hot Dog song to get her to smile...We'll work on that Deedee!! :-)
The 3 Amigos!
The twins use to be scared to DEATH to get in another bathtub besides their own. After they stayed the night here and learned that Aunt Amanda doesn't give in to whining...they GLADLY got in to the bathtub tonight. I've wanted a picture like this for awhile. Now we just need to get Austin in the picture next time he's here!
I just love this girl...how could you not??? Look at that face!!!
Just another cutie pie picture!

HOT DOG DANCE!

Aubree continues to be more and more like her cousin Kelton everyday. He's big in to Mickey Mouse (or as he would say, "Mick-me"). He loves doing the "Hotdog Dance", and now Aubree absolutely LOVES it too! Here's two short videos of her shakin' it! I wished she would have continued dancing more when she was standing up...her face was just pricelesss.

Aubree Being Mommy's Model

I finally got a nicer camera, but still have a LOT to learn on it. I took Aubree out for a fun set of quick photos just to use the fully automatic setting, so here's a few from yesterday's shoot.
Daddy stuck her in the pool...don't her eyes just blend right in with the water??
In front of Papaw's John Deere TractorTaking Zoey for a ride on a John Deere more her size.
Bath Time!
Baby Blues
Another of her on the John Deere in Sepia
Aubree and Cash...sun was a little bright for her as she couldn't keep her eyes open.
Aubree and Bing
It's hard to tell, but I have her eyes bright blue in this picture
More of the famous bridge pictures
Color does look good too, I guess! I'm just such a black and white photo type person.
Our little John Deere girl
These last 3 are my absolute FAVORITE of her, especially the very last one!
