My Baby's Almost 2...

I can't believe Aubree will be 2 next month. I'm so sad how quickly she's growing up. I'd have to say this is one of my favorite photos that I've taken of her, but then again, I love every photo of her just merely because....they're her.
She was NOT very happy about sitting up on the railing, so that's why you get a turned head shot. I do love photos where the subject isn't looking directly at the camera, but this one HAD to be this way. All the others she had a terrified look on her face.
This is pure happiness... Ben took this photo at our Mother's day dinner for Mom. I love the whole innocent look she has while sucking "butter"....yes, I just said butter...off of her finger. YUCK!!!
An attempted Mommy-Daughter photo on Mother's Day, but obviously failed of Aubree. I'd have to say I love this picture, just because of my eyes. Good shot Ben!!
Can't forget the fabulous Momma in my life!!! I love you Mom! Hope you had a great Mother's Day!

Aubree's 1st Haircut

So, I swore I wouldn't cut her hair because I do NOT want her to have bangs, but she will not...for the life of her..keep her hair back in a barrette or clip, and it's not long enough to tuck behind her ear yet. It's been driving me nuts hanging down in her eyes as it's also bothering her. She keeps digging in her eyes because of it, so it was time. I purposely brushed her hair straight down to give you a better idea of how long it was getting in the front. Normally I part it down the side, so it somewhat stays out of her eyes.
BEFORE: Wasn't too happy about me brushing her hair since she had something in it from Daycare to make it sticky.
DURING: Seriously was not a happy child about being held down. She kept yelling..."No...No", so daddy had to hold her head still.
AFTER: Ahh...yes, there are those beautiful blue eyes!

2010 Trip to San Jose

Aubree has been making the trip out to San Jose, Ca for the last 3 years over my Spring Break. Of course, the first time she was still in my tummy, but the last 2 years she has made that long flight out there and back and has been a perfect angel. I couldn't ask for a better flight traveling child. I had all sorts of tricks in her diaper bag, but only brought them out for a total of 45 minutes there and back. While there, Aubree really got to know her cousin Austin a lot better since they are very similar in age. He definitely kept up with her, and learned a few of her bad habits. Aubree ALWAYS takes her socks and shoes off when she gets into her car seat, and now Mr. Austin likes to do the same thing. I couldn't count how many times we said, "Monkey See...Monkey Do" while we were out there. They continuously copied each other. Heaven forbid if I was holding Austin...I HAD to be holding Aubree too. It was interesting watching how jealous she got of him. She also got jealous when DeeDee would be paying attention to Austin instead of her. The first time DeeDee picked up Austin, Aubree went over to her, held her arms up and said, "My DeeDee". Definitely jealousy there. We went to a couple of parks, Happy Hollow Zoo and Park, to visit Stephanie's Mom and Dad for dinner and the Mystery Spot with the kids. Of course, Mommy, Daddy, and Uncle Kyle got to go Zip lining while DeeDee and Steph watched the kids. What a BLAST!!! I ended up with over 600 photos, but I'll spare you the bore...I've only posted a few (ok...30 or so) cute ones from our trip. Enjoy :)

Aubree in 1 of 2 times outs she had to have while visiting her cousin. She bit him once and slapped him on the head for the 2nd one. I thought this was too cute, since we have never actually stood her in the corner before. We usually have her sit on her timeout stool. So, for her to just stand there with her nose in the corner...I had to take a photo of it.

Sorry this one is blurry, but Aubree was dancing on the table while we were waiting to go into the Mystery Spot, and I thought her face was adorable in this shot!

Of course we had to get a shot of all of us together:

Oh My

So, we were supposed to visit Grammy and PopPop this weekend and go out for my 30th Birthday with some good friends, but plans changed, so I called one of my other good friends for a play date. It took them a little bit to get used to each other, but just see for yourself how USED to him she did get! Aubree going in for some kisses
Ahh...such a sweet hug
More kisses!!
Ahh, yes...here comes her arms grabbing him to pull him closer!
I totally missed her grabbing his face to continue making out with him. As you can see from Ayden's face...he'd had enough!

Wow! It's been awhile!

Not a whole lot new to post, but of course I always have photos! Aubree will be taking her 2nd flight (3rd if you count when I was pregnant). We will be heading to California to visit Kyle, Steph and Austin over my Spring Break. I can't wait to see the two of them play together. So...on to video and photos! :-) Enjoy!
Aubree loves Hot Dogs, but for some reason that's not what she calls them.
Grammy and PopPop came to visit in February, and it was a perfect time to visit. After having snow covered grounds for over 2 months, the weekend they came...it hit 60 degrees! Aubree had a blast getting out and actually running around rather than being cooped up inside.
I just celebrated my 30th birthday this week, and tradition is that we always go out as a family. Aubree had a blast with dinner tonight. Just see the photos for yourself.
