Aubree in California

Aubree went on her 1st trip on a plane to see her Aunt Steph, Uncle Kyle and Cousin Austin. Here she is in Rochelle's suitcase getting ready to become a stow-away!

Aubree posing with her BEAUTIFUL cousin Austin!While there we went to Half Moon Bay Brewery for a delicious lunch. Aubree got to test out one of her new sunhats. It doesn't look exactly like it should because I had to have it pushed back a little here in the picture...as you can tell she was eating, and she's not the cleanest eater.

You can see part of the beach behind Rochelle. We ended up coming back to this part to get more pictures, but we drove to a place called Half Moon Bay Beach 1st.

At Half Moon Bay Beach we went for a nice stroll to see a place called Mavericks which is where people come from all over the world to surf during certain times in the year when the waves are super large. A lot of people have acutually died doing so, but yet they continue to come. The last picture is the area where people surf.

Everything All At Once...

I said all along that Aubree probably would walk before she crawls, but she may prove me wrong. However, she DOES prefer to stand and hold on to things to walk around, but I think she decided that "trying" to crawl seems pretty interesting to her now. She definitely doesn't have it down pat, but I'd say in the next few days she'll become a pro.

Oh No...Here We Go!!!

Aubree has been home sick from Daycare since last Friday. I stayed home with her Friday, Ben took yesterday and mom stayed with her today (St. Patty's Day). Of course, here I am...enjoying my lunch at school and I get a text message.

"Aubree just pulled up by herself on the table you brought home last night." :-(

I seem to miss out on all her milestones!! First I missed out on her rolling over for the first time...now this! What's next?? Am I going to miss her 1st steps??? My little girl is growing up...way too quick! Which only means trouble lies ahead...she'll be in to EVERYTHING!!!

For some reason this video uploaded the wrong direction, even after I rotated and saved it...and I'm not about to upload it again because it takes FOREVER. So, tilt you head and enjoy :-)

MumMum

So Aubree's been a little ham lately. She was sitting in my lap the other night for dinner and decided she wanted to eat what I was eating, so she did just that. Everything I had on my plate, she ate...even the pork, which I didn't think she'd do real well with, but she suprised me. Then daddy got her a MumMum out. She's had the puffs that melt in her mouth, but this was her first mummum.

I really don't think she knew what to do with it as you can tell in the pictures! (Click on the picture above to see all of the pictures in the album) Then to add a top of all the food from dinner and the MumMum, daddy then decided to give her some chocolate icecream (her favorite by the way!). She's such a mess! There's also some photos of her playing in her new favorite toy.....a BOX. I think every baby must enjoy a good box sometime or another in their life...it's cheap! :-) The last photos are of her enjoying the chance to get to play with her spoon and wash cloth. I absolutely hate her being dirty...dirty hands, nose, mouth, ANYTHING....so I don't ever let her play with her food. She was such a good girl tonight when she was eating that I thought I'd give in and allow a little mess. Of course, that ended with papaw giving her some rootbeer float! I think they're all trying to make my daughter a little fatty!

Aubree's Rockin' Chair

I have had this little rocking chair for a long time. I remember it was originally red, but when we painted my room blue and yellow, dad painted the chair yellow for me. So, I found it down in the basement last week and of course thought about Aubree. I had dad paint it red for me again so I could paint black dots all over it to make it look like a ladybug, but he convinced me to use decals instead. I'm so glad he did...it was so much easier to do. I love it...if you can't tell, her name is on the top, and "Little Lady" is on the second bar across. Then there are little ladybugs "crawling" all over the arms, poles, and legs! Go figure huh?? :-)

Mommy's Birthday Dinner and Day

My family took me out for my birthday on Saturday. We went to eat at my favorite restaurant, TGI Friday's. Aubree had a great time sitting on the table being the center or attention and trying papaw's deep fried green beans!! YUCK!! She wouldn't exactly eat them, she would more or less suck on it.

Then daddy took Aubree first thing in the morning on the day of my birthday so mommy could actually sleep in...I use to be able to sleep until noon or later, hmmmph...how come I can't do that now??? Even when she's not here to wake me up?? I ended up getting up around 10ish, and Ben had a birthday gift for me. As you can tell, once I got it out of the bag, Aubree ended up liking the bag more than the toys around her.

Clean Girl

Aubree's bathtub is getting too short for her, and we really don't have an easily accessaible "bathtub" to use here (glass doors make it hard to use), so we started giving her a bath in the sink. Ben had the spicket out of the faucet letting Aubree play with the water, and she decided she wanted to take a little "sip" of it. It reminded me of a child first learning how to use a water fountain. I got a good picture of her acutally drinking the water, and a video as well. She really acted like she wanted to drink more, but after mommy and daddy laugher so hard at her, she thought twice about whether she really wanted to get laughed at again.

After the last photo shoot with Rochelle, I finally decided to break down and buy a program that I've wanted for a while now, in order to create the look of some photos that I love. Here are three that I have been playing around with, and I plan to do more!! It's a really cool program, if you can't tell how excited I am about it!

I have ALWAYS loved the pictures that are black and white, but have spots of color in them, so that's what you're seeing here. I've also figured out how to make Aubree's eyes look even more blue than they really are...as you can tell in the middle picture. The first and third picture also have her blues eyes colored, but the pictures here are too small to tell. Oh yeah...I also figured out how to actually "change" the color of her eyes...talk about weird! I made her have green eyes, and let me tell you...my daughter was "MEANT" to have blue eyes. Green is just not her color. :-)

Aubree At 8 Months

Our wonderful family photographer was down again this weekend, so we were able to get more pictures of Aubree. Here are a few of the good pictures that we played around with. I LOVE the yellow dress my great aunt sent me when she was born. It's still a little big, but should be perfect for Easter. Yay...It's FINALLY Here!!

After 4 months of waiting, wiping drool everytime I turn around, and letting her chew on everything from her toes to my cell phone....it FINALLY happened! Aubree got her first toofers!! :-) I know..tooth, but I've always called them toofers for babies, don't ask me why!! I've been checking every day since I don't know when, and today when I checked it was just there. Of course, I had to stick my finger in there just to double check, and YEP...it's a tooth!! I definitely will NOT be sticking my finger in her mouth for her to chew on in the near future.

Aubree Enjoying A Valentine

Daycare had a Valentine exchange, so we thought we'd let Aubree try out her 1st sucker. She loved it!! When my mom would pull it out of her mouth to say something to me, Aubree would lean over with mouth wide open trying to get the sucker back in her mouth. She definitely enjoyed it. I know what I'll be taking with me on our flight to California to make her happy if she gets restless or grouchy!

Aubree and Her New Friend Brobee

I've been to Walmart so many times checking out the toys that dance and sing to get Aubree excited. When we watch cartoons, "Yo Gabba Gabba" is one of the shows we watch...so everytime I see Brobee, I'm so tempted to buy him. Well, I finally broke down and paid the thirty crazy dollars for a silly toy. I do have to say, it was a good purchase. She's a dancer, so Brobee's upbeat music and singing really gets her moving. Here she is with her new friend Brobee. I love the last two, it looks like he's playing "Peek-a-Boo" with her.

Kissing Cousins

We finally got outside the house after being her since Monday. Way too much ice and snow for my car to go anywhere, so when mom got home, we went over to visit Ryun, Brandy, and the twins. Comes to find out, Rylyn is a kissing fool just like Aubree. It's so cute!!!! Every time she would give her a kiss, she would make the "mmmwah" sound. Listen carefully in the video and you can hear it.

Aubree's 1st Experience with the Snow

Yesterday was nothing but ice, so today when I woke up and saw quite a bit of snow, I decided I HAD to take Aubree out in to it for the 1st time. Since she's not a walker or crawler yet, she couldn't do much fun stuff, so I just snapped pictures to get her first snow experience on record

So I ordered Aubree an outfit off of Ebay from Gymboree...it's suppose to be for the 4th of July, but I couldn't resist trying it on her to see how cute she would look as a USA Cheerleader! I couldn't have been more correct...she looked ADORABLE!! See for yourself!

Fasionable Aubree

Faker...

So I've got a funny story to tell, I just hope it comes out as funny in words as it did in person. Aubree has picked up a new habit...I call it her "fake" cough. When I was feeding her the other day, she was eating like normal, opening her mouth when she was ready for another bite, like usual. I guess she decided she was full, but unlike "most" babies, where they normally shake their heads no, or turn their heads away....she decides to start doing a "fake" cough. When I put the spoon up to her mouth and ask her if she wants another bite...I get this.. "hu hu...hu hu"...(imagine that being a fake baby cough). So, I thought she was just playing, but NOPE...I did it four or five more times just to see if she'd keep doing it. She had dad and Ben rolling...myself include. I wish had it on video. It just isn't the same hearing about it as it was being there. "hu hu...hu hu". :-)

Aubree's 7 Months Old Today!

Sniff...Sniff... :-( Mommy's baby girl is growing up! About a week ago we weighed her at Brandy's on their baby scale, and she weight 14.9 lbs...so I'm assuming she's definitely 15lbs by now. We go to the doctor on Monday, so I'll get an actual weight!

For Christmas, Aubree got a Ladybug doll from her uncle Ryun & Aunt Brandy. In the video, you can she how much she loves her baby doll!

As Rylyn and Kelton are getting older, dressing them alike in the cutesy stuff doesn't happen as often, so we decided to take advantage of dressing our girls likes twinks today at daycare.

It's not too often I catch Aubree smiling on the camera. She can be all smiles, but as soon as she sees the camera, she gets too interested in it to continue smiling, but rather gives her concentrating look. So, I thought I'd add a couple pictures of her actually smiling!

Aubree's Potential Boyfriends...

Growing up, there were 5 of us who always hung out together in High School... Me, Jamie, Myra, Sondra and Michelle... Oddly enough...we were actually ALL pregnant at the same time, some point in time throughout out pregnancies... So...Jamie had her son Gavyn March 17th, Sondra had her son Ayden May 13th, Michelle had her son Caleb June 12th, I had Aubree (Only Girl) June 15th and Myra had her son Luke December 1st.
